Therapeutic approaches

Art Therapy

Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that combines art with the psychotherapeutic process. It is based on the relationship between the therapist, the client, and the artwork. The therapist creates a safe and supportive environment, encouraging the client to freely express thoughts and emotions through artistic creation.

Reflection on and emotional processing of the artwork through the detached observation of both the therapist and the client lead to the interpretation of the artwork and the psychological content it expresses. Art Therapy can be conducted individually or in groups, with children, adolescents, and adults.

Existential Psychotherapy is a psychotherapeutic approach that views each person as a unique being, shaped by their relationships, experiences, and the environment in which they live. It examines how a person perceives themselves, others, and life, as well as the existential issues that may concern them. Difficulties and symptoms are not viewed as personal failure or dysfunction, but may be linked to the individual’s lifestyle and circumstances.

At the heart of therapy are freedom, choice, and personal responsibility. The individual is encouraged to recognize their capabilities and limitations, make conscious decisions, and seek their own meaning in life. The therapeutic relationship is based on authentic communication, acceptance, and understanding of the individual, without predetermined answers or absolute solutions.
